Did you know?

Agoutis play an important role in seed dispersal (e.g. of Brazil nut trees) by caching food reserves. When feeding agoutis sit on their hind legs, holding their food with their front paws.
They are not diggers and therefore use the abandoned burrows of other species such as armadillos.
