Your directions to Zoo Leipzig

Zoo Leipzig is very central and can be reached in several minutes on foot from the city centre.

If you arrive by train at Leipzig’s central station or take the tram, simply follow our signs after getting off.

If you follow the different animal footprints, they will show you the quickest way to reach us.

The following routes are marked by animal footprints on the ground:

  • Dschungelpfad: 570m to the zoo from the tram stop Wilhelm-Liebknecht-Platz
  • Entdeckerschlucht: 630m to the zoo from the tram stop Goerdelerring
  • Schlängelroute: 820m to the zoo from the central train station

Park and Ride

We recommend you to use the free Park and Ride parking spaces, from where you can easily travel to the zoo by tram. Further details can be found here.

Parking at Zoo Leipzig

Drive towards the "city centre" and follow the signs for the Zoo. Please observe traffic control systems to the zoo’s parking garages. Directly opposite the main zoo entrance you will find these two covered parking garages. 24-hour car parking is available here with 1375 spaces.
