Jungle food stop at the Bamboo Bar

Before you get on a boat in Gondwanaland and time travel through the Earth’s history, you can build up your strength at the Bamboo Bar. Here you will find light snacks and refreshments in the direct vicinity of the boat jetty on the lower village square.

Far east flair in the Restaurant Patakan

Anyone embarking on a real expedition through Gondwanaland, is allowed to also be really hungry. In the Restaurant Patakan with seating for up to 150 guests, you can sample cuisine from the Far East, while enjoying fascinating views of lush tropical surroundings.

Bear Castle Café – while away the hours in the middle of the zoo

Right next to a giant dragon you can take a seat on one of the terraces of the Bärenburg-Café. The family Kandler is responsible here for providing a tasty selection of food and drink. You will find homemade pastries and ice cream or if you fancy something savoury, you can try a sausage from the BBQ.

An idyllic break in the Pond Café

Welcome to one of the most serene places of our zoo. In the Pond Café, which is run by the Kandler family, you are able to enjoy refreshments or hot drinks with a peaceful view of the water together with cormorants and pelicans.

After an adventurous tour through Pongoland you can take a break in the African jungle village. Here you can enjoy refreshments such as snacks, ice creams or cool beverages, before you continue your tour of the zoo.

Exotic cuisine in the restaurant Hacienda Las Casas

Culinary delights from South America await you in the Hacienda Las Casas . This refurbished art nouveau building provides seating for 120 guests inside and seating for 40 guests in a covered terrace area outside as well as an open terrace area for over 300 people. Our friendly service staff will serve you at your table.
