These birds are endemic to Africa and feed on the fruit of vari- ous trees. They build their nests in the tree canopy at heights of between six and 15 metres. Both males and females brood the two to three eggs for around four weeks. Their loud, cackling cow-cow-cow calls makes them very conspicuous. This species is relatively common in its distribution range.
