Did you know?

This species inhabits wetlands such as swamps, river banks and rice paddies. Its downward curved bill
is used to search for food in the mud and water. It feeds on insects, worms, molluscs and crustaceans.
2–6 eggs are laid with brooding lasting 20–23 days.
