Did you know?
Fully grown radiated tortoises can have a carapace length of up to 40 cm and weigh an impressive 10 to 15 kg. The brilliant yellow lines radiating outwards from each plate of the carapace are characteristic for this species. Every radiated tortoise has its own unique markings, by which it can be re-identified for a lifetime.
