Yellow-naped Amazons live in different types of forest, mainly in the Pacific coastal region of Central America. Their diet consists of fruits, berries and seeds. They nest in tree hollows. A clutch consists of 2-4 eggs, which are incubated for approx. 26 days. Habitat loss and trapping for the bird trade are responsible for a rapidly declining population.
