Did you know?

White-rumped shamas inhabit forests with dense undergrowth, bamboo forests and mangroves up to 1,500 m. They are active at dawn and dusk and roost solitary outside of the breeding season. They feed on invertebrates and berries. In the breeding season a pair will defend their territory together. The nests made
from plant material are built 2–5 m high in tree hollows. Whiterumped shamas lay 2–6 eggs and brooding lasts 11–13 days.
