Did you know?

Thomson’s gazelles have numerous enemies e.g. lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and wild dogs. Their defence strategy is to live in large herds. Due to the fact that many eyes are on the lookout, individuals have to spend considerably less time looking out for danger. Furthermore, the danger of being eaten is reduced for every individual animal. In the case of an attack the animals flee while zigzagging at speeds of over 60 km/h.
