Did you know?

In their natural habitat, Eastern quolls often assault farm poultry. Hence, farmers fight a grim fight against them and as a result, Eastern quolls have almost disappeared completely from the Australian mainland. However, in Tasmania they are now under protection. Status according to Red List: near threatened

Small mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, grass and fruit

Habitat:

Grasslands, wold, humid rainforests and dry eucalyptus forests

Reproduction:

Gestation time: 19–24 days, up to 20 young; maximum age: up to 7 years
